INDUSTRIES
Cartridge Heaters Built for Demanding Environments Across British & Global Industry
Heatox cartridge heaters are trusted by engineers, OEMs, and manufacturers operating in fast-paced, high-precision environments. From automated packaging lines to laboratory instruments and metal forming tools, our heaters deliver consistent performance where reliability isn’t optional – it’s essential.
Below are the key industries we support. If you don’t see yours listed, get in touch – we regularly design custom heating solutions for specialist sectors.
Packaging Industry
Heatox cartridge heaters are widely used in high-speed packaging lines - powering sealing bars, cutting blades, and form-fill-seal machinery. Their fast thermal response and compact footprint make them ideal for tight mechanical assemblies that demand rapid cycling and stable heat zones.
Plastics & Rubber Moulding
Precision heating is critical in injection moulding, extrusion, and hot runner systems. Our cartridge heaters provide uniform, controlled temperatures for moulds, sprue bushings, and nozzle heating - even under continuous, high-wattage demand.
Medical & Pharmaceutical
In regulated industries like healthcare, Heatox heaters support analytical equipment, sterilisation units, and lab automation tools that require exact temperature control with minimal fluctuation.
Battery Manufacturing & Electronics
Battery assembly and PCB manufacturing demand precision heating for forming, curing, and thermal testing. Our cartridge heaters are ideal for integration into dies, fixtures, and compact machines in high-tech production environments.
Scientific Instruments
We work with instrument manufacturers and lab tech firms to provide small-format, high-performance heating elements used in measurement, detection, and calibration systems.
Metal Forming & Engineering
Cartridge heaters are essential in metalworking environments where tools and dies must be pre-heated or maintained at precise operating temperatures. From CNC fixtures to forming dies, our heaters deliver clean, even heating to reduce wear and improve production consistency.
UK-Based Manufacturing: All of our cartridge heaters are manufactured in Oxfordshire, ensuring tight quality control and shorter lead times.
Customisation Specialists: From unique lengths and watt densities to specialist lead wire options, terminations, and mounting fittings — we tailor products to your application.
Performance-Driven Design: Using high-purity magnesium oxide insulation, evenly wound nickel-chromium resistance wire, and stainless steel or Incoloy® sheaths, our heaters are built for reliability and long life.
Trusted Across Sectors: Our heaters are used globally in industries such as packaging, plastic forming, food production, battery manufacturing, and medical device assembly.
OUR HISTORY
Where We Began
Heatox originated from its early work building precision moulds for Core Engineering, which naturally led to the development and specialisation in high-performance cartridge heaters for demanding industrial applications.
304 Stainless Steel Sheaths
Ideal for oxidation resistance throughout many environments. 316 Stainless Steel and Incoloy® are also available upon request.
High Impact Ceramic Caps
Suitable for high vibration applications and prevent contamination. By employing deep holes in the cap, the fraying of leads is avoided when bent.
High Temperature Lead Wires
High-temperature lead wires are employed for working temperatures up to 550°C.
Nickel-Chromium Resistance Wire
Nickel-chromium resistance wire brings maximum heater life, we evenly wind it for a balanced heat distribution.
High Purity Magnesium Oxide
Selected for maximum thermal conductivity and maximum dielectric strength. It is highly compacted for optimal heat transfer.
